Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rice
- 1/2 cup yellow lentils
- 1 cup mixed vegetables
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 tbsp ghee or oil
- Salt
Method

Rinse the rice and lentils together.

Heat ghee and crackle cumin with ginger.

Add the vegetables, turmeric and salt.

Add rice, lentils and 4 cups water.

Simmer covered until soft and porridge-like.
