Garlic Bok Choy

Tender greens flash-fried with plenty of garlic.

Stir-fried bok choy with garlic is a staple green side on Chinese tables, cooked in minutes to keep the stems crisp and the leaves silky.

A subtle seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 4 heads bok choy, halved
  • 4 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Pinch of sugar
  • Salt

Method

  1. 01

    Wash the bok choy and shake dry.

  2. 02

    Heat oil and fry the garlic until just golden.

  3. 03

    Add the bok choy and toss on high heat.

  4. 04

    Add soy sauce, sugar and a splash of water; cover 1 minute.

  5. 05

    Finish with sesame oil and serve.
