Cabbage Sabzi

Quick stir-fried cabbage with cumin, turmeric and peas.

Patta gobi ki sabzi is a humble, everyday dry vegetable dish across Indian homes, valued for being cheap, fast and endlessly comforting with roti.

Green chilli

Fresh heat stirred through.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1 green chilli
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt
  • Coriander

Method

  1. 01

    Heat oil and crackle the cumin with green chilli.

  2. 02

    Add turmeric, then the shredded cabbage and peas.

  3. 03

    Season with salt and toss well.

  4. 04

    Cover and cook on low 8-10 minutes until tender.

  5. 05

    Garnish with coriander and serve.
