Ingredients

  • 2 cans black beans
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Lime & coriander
  • Salt

Method

  1. 01

    Saute onion and garlic in oil until soft.

  2. 02

    Add the spices and cook for 30 seconds.

  3. 03

    Tip in the beans with their liquid plus water.

  4. 04

    Simmer 15 minutes, then blend part of the soup for creaminess.

  5. 05

    Season, finish with lime and coriander.
